Car
Start your journey in St. John's, the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador. Head south on the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 1) for about 50 kilometers (31 miles). Take the exit for Route 10 towards Ferryland. Continue on Route 10 for approximately 15 kilometers (9 miles) until you reach the town of Ferryland. Once in Ferryland, follow the signs to the Ferryland Lighthouse, which is located on a scenic hill overlooking the ocean.
Public Transportation
From St. John's, take a bus operated by Metrobus (Route 3) to the end of the line at the Paradise Terminal. From there, transfer to a regional bus service that goes to Ferryland. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may not run frequently. Once you arrive in Ferryland, follow the local signs directing you to the Lighthouse, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Hiking (if already in Ferryland)
If you are already in Ferryland, you can reach the lighthouse by hiking a designated trail. Starting from the town center, follow the clearly marked trail that leads to the lighthouse. The hike is approximately 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) one way and offers stunning views of the coastline. Ensure to wear proper footwear and bring water, as the trail can be rugged.
