Car
If you are driving from central Cariboo, head south on the BC-97 S highway. Continue on this highway for approximately 300 km until you reach the junction with BC-1. Take the exit for BC-1 E towards Kamloops. Follow BC-1 E for about 290 km, then merge onto ON-401 E toward Toronto. Continue on ON-401 E for approximately 30 km, then take exit 392 for Meadowvale Rd. Follow Meadowvale Rd south for about 2 km until you arrive at the African Rainforest Pavilion located at 2000 Meadowvale Rd, Scarborough, ON M1B 5K7. Please note that parking fees may apply at the zoo.
Public Transportation
For those using public transit, start by taking a bus from central Cariboo to the nearest major city that services routes to Toronto, such as Kamloops. From Kamloops, take a Greyhound or other regional bus to Toronto. Once in Toronto, navigate to the subway system and take Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) to Kennedy station. From Kennedy station, transfer to the TTC bus #86 or #190, which will take you directly to the African Rainforest Pavilion at 2000 Meadowvale Rd, Scarborough, ON M1B 5K7. Be sure to check for any transfer fees that may apply when using public transportation.
