If you are starting from central Cariboo, head southeast on BC-97 S towards Prince George. Continue on BC-97 S for approximately 200 km until you reach Quesnel. From Quesnel, take the exit onto BC-99 S towards Cache Creek and follow this road for about 120 km. After that, merge onto BC-1 E (Trans-Canada Highway) and continue for approximately 300 km until you reach the border with the United States. Once you cross into the U.S., follow the signs to Ely, Minnesota. From Ely, take the MN-1 W and follow the signs to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Be prepared for a long drive, as this route can take around 7-8 hours depending on traffic and stops.
