Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From Charlottetown, head to the nearest bus station (Charlottetown Transit) located at 100 Belvedere Ave. Take the bus number 1 (East) towards the University of Prince Edward Island. Get off at the stop 'UPEI' and transfer to bus number 3 (Cavendish). This bus will take you directly towards Cavendish. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the Cavendish stop, walk towards PE-6 road. Cavendish Grove is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow PE-6 for about 1.2 km until you see the entrance to Cavendish Grove.

  • Bicycle

    If you're up for a bike ride, consider renting a bicycle in Charlottetown. Start at Confederation Landing Park and head west towards Water Street. Follow Water Street until you reach the intersection with University Avenue. Turn left onto University Avenue and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the exit onto the Trans-Canada Highway (PE-1) heading west. After about 25 km, take the exit towards Cavendish (PE-6). Follow PE-6 for about 8 km, and you'll arrive at Cavendish Grove. This route is scenic and takes you through beautiful landscapes.

    For the adventurous ones, walking to Cavendish Grove is possible but will take a considerable amount of time. Starting from downtown Charlottetown, head north on Great George Street and continue straight until you reach the waterfront at the Charlottetown Marina. Follow the waterfront path and make your way to the Confederation Bridge trail, which leads towards the outskirts of the city. After about 3.5 km, connect to the Trans-Canada Highway (PE-1) and continue west. After around 25 km, you'll reach the Cavendish area. This will take approximately 5-6 hours of walking, so ensure you are prepared with water and snacks.
