A very good food tour. The food sections were awesome. We went back to one of the locations for dinner! Our guide Sam was personable. It could have been better if there was more interaction during the stops with information about the area and history. In all, we enjoyed their tour!

An Inspiring (and Delicious!) Afternoon Tea

What an enjoyable afternoon! We were welcomed at the door by women in period costume (Victorian era) and shown our nicely laid table. We were offered tea from a lovely assortment which we drank from pretty china cups and saucers. A woman dramatically walked in with sweeping skirts, paused, whipped out her fan, and regarded us all before she explained a quick history of tea, its uses in society, and then proclaimed how a woman’s unspoken intent could be shown with a fan. This began an enchanting story, a true story, of the woman who built the Haviland. There was an intermission when we were presented with three-tiered trays resplendent with crustless sandwiches of three kinds, two types of scones served with clotted cream and jam, and finally, dessert delicacies that halted all conversation. The second half of the tea was just as wonderful and even inspiring! The storyteller was an excellent actress and had our full attention. The tea itself was exquisite. We left the house that afternoon with full bellies and hearts. What a great event. Highly recommend.

PEI Fine Wine Tasting Tour

Nice afternoon

A nice drive around several different parts of PEI to visit 3 wineries. They were all nice, but we most enjoyed the Honey Wine (mead). The explanations were derailed and everyone at each of the wineries was hospitable. We had a delicious light lunch at Honey Wine, too. Brent, our driver and tour owner, is a PEI native and shared a lot of information while he drove. We just had 4 people on our tour. It was a lovely afternoon.
