Designed collaboratively by Canadian and Japanese planners, the park reflects Japanese principles of harmony, balance, and tranquility.Visitors can explore various features, including a Japanese pavilion with a Friendship Bell, symbolizing the bond between the two cities. The park boasts meticulously arranged rocks, a cascading waterfall, and picturesque trails. In spring, approximately 80 cherry blossom trees burst into bloom, attracting visitors from across the Greater Toronto Area. Other features include a stone tsukubai basin, a zig-zag boardwalk, a dry stream bed, and a pond with a turtle rock.The park's landscape evolves with the seasons, showcasing a variety of trees and plants of Japanese origin, such as ginkgo, Japanese maple, and sweetgum trees.
