Getting There

  • Driving

    The Discovery Centre is located just outside Woody Point on Route 431. From Deer Lake Airport, follow the Trans-Canada Highway west to Route 430, then onto Route 431. The drive is approximately 45 miles (72km). Parking is free at the Discovery Centre.

  • Water Shuttle

    During the summer season (mid-June to late September), BonTours operates a water shuttle between Norris Point and Woody Point. From the Woody Point town dock, a taxi service is available to take you to the Discovery Centre. The water shuttle from Norris Point is $20 CAD per person.

  • Walking

    From Woody Point, you can take the community trail to the Discovery Centre. This scenic walk skirts old cemeteries and offers beautiful views of the coast. The trail is approximately 1.6 km.
