If you're traveling by car from Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, head to the nearest ferry terminal that services the mainland. From Salt Spring Island, take the BC Ferries service to Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island. Once on Vancouver Island, drive east on Highway 1 until you reach the town of Sidney. From Sidney, continue on Highway 1 and follow signs for Highway 19 North towards Nanaimo. You will then need to take Highway 19 to Highway 1 again, and follow it until you reach the northern part of the island. From there, take the ferry from Crofton to Salt Spring Island, then follow the directions to Keewaydin State Park, located at 45165 NY-12, Alexandria Bay, NY 13607, USA. Be sure to check BC Ferries' schedule and fees as they may apply. The total driving time can take approximately 5-7 hours depending on ferry wait times and road conditions.

Public Transportation
To reach Keewaydin State Park using public transportation, first, take a bus from Gulf Islands National Park Reserve to the nearest ferry terminal, such as the Salt Spring Island ferry terminal. Board the ferry to Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island, and from there, catch a bus heading towards Sidney. Once in Sidney, transfer to a bus that goes to Nanaimo. After arriving in Nanaimo, take a bus to Crofton and then catch the ferry to Salt Spring Island. Upon arriving on Salt Spring Island, you will need to find local transportation or a taxi to reach Keewaydin State Park at 45165 NY-12, Alexandria Bay, NY 13607, USA.
