Car
If you're traveling by car from any point in Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, head to the nearest ferry terminal that connects to the mainland. The most common route is to take a ferry from Salt Spring Island to Swartz Bay. Once you arrive at Swartz Bay, drive north on the BC-1 highway towards Nanaimo. Follow signs for the BC-19 highway and continue to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. Take the ferry to the U.S. mainland at Point Roberts. After disembarking, drive east on WA-543 and merge onto I-5 S. Follow I-5 S until you reach I-90 E. Merge onto I-90 E towards Spokane and then onto I-81 S towards Syracuse. Finally, take NY-12 towards Alexandria Bay. The Thousand Islands OPRHP Regional Office is located at 45165 NY-12, Alexandria Bay, NY 13607. Please note that ferry fares and toll costs may apply depending on your route.
