Driving
From the village of Dorset, head north on Kawagama Lake Road. Follow the road for approximately 10-15 minutes until you reach the public access points on the lake. Parking is available at these access points, though it can be limited during peak season. Paid parking is available at Kawagama Lake Marina. Be aware that some roads in the area may be unpaved.
Public Transport
While there is no direct public transportation to Kawagama Lake, you can take a bus from Toronto to Oxtongue Lake. From there, a taxi can take you to Kawagama Lake, approximately a 45-minute drive. Taxi fares can range from $120-$150. Haliburton County also offers specialized transportation services for those with mobility difficulties, which can be booked in advance.
