Driving
From Huntsville, Ontario, take Highway 60 east towards Algonquin Park. The drive is approximately 30 kilometers and takes about 25 minutes. Oxtongue Lake is located directly off Highway 60. Parking is available at various access points along the lake, including the Oxtongue Lake Community Centre and Ragged Falls Provincial Park. Parking fees may apply at Ragged Falls, with daily rates around $12-$21 CAD depending on the season.
Walking
If you are staying at a lodge or cottage on Oxtongue Lake, accessing the lake is typically a short walk. Many accommodations have direct lake access or are located within a few minutes' walk of the shoreline. The Beetle Lake Trail is accessible from Oxtongue Lake, offering a scenic walking route with views of the lake. The trail is free to access.
