Getting there

Walking

If you are starting from the Halifax Waterfront, walk along the boardwalk heading towards the south end of the waterfront. As you walk, you will pass several shops and restaurants. Continue along the boardwalk until you reach the end and see the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic on your right. From there, head up the stairs towards Lower Water Street. Turn left on Lower Water Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Marginal Road. Turn right onto Marginal Road, and you will find The Emigrant Statue at 1215 Marginal Rd, located near the Halifax Seaport.

Public Transit - Bus

From the Halifax Transit terminal, take the number 14 or 15 bus towards the South End. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Marginal Road and South Street. From the bus stop, walk along Marginal Road heading towards the waterfront. You will see The Emigrant Statue at 1215 Marginal Rd on your left.

Bicycle

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Halifax Commons. Head south on South Park Street, then turn right onto Spring Garden Road. Continue until you reach the waterfront and follow the waterfront path towards the south. As you approach the end, follow the path that leads to Marginal Road. You will find The Emigrant Statue at 1215 Marginal Rd, located near the Halifax Seaport.
