Public Transport

From Sydney, take the Cape Breton Municipality bus Route #1 towards Glace Bay. The bus departs from Ashby Corner hourly and the ride takes approximately 52 minutes to Marconi Street and Commercial Street. From there, turn right onto Marconi Street, then left onto Birkley Street. The museum will be straight ahead. The bus fare is approximately $2.50.

From the Port of Sydney, taxis are readily available. However, to avoid potentially higher fares from the port, walk towards the downtown core to Charlotte Street and call a local taxi company. A taxi ride to the museum is approximately 25-30 minutes, costing an estimated $45-$55.
Driving

From Sydney, follow Highway 22 towards Glace Bay. The drive is approximately 21 km and takes about 20 minutes. Parking is available at the museum. Overnight parking for campers is also available at the back of the parking lot.
