Getting There

Driving

From Fundy National Park (Alma Entrance), head east on Route 114. Continue for approximately 13 km until you reach Route 915. Turn left onto Route 915 and drive for 10 km. Turn right onto Cape Enrage Road and continue for 6 km to reach Cape Enrage. Parking is available on-site. A vehicle pass costs $30.
Biking

From Fundy National Park, start at the main entrance and follow Route 114 towards Alma. After 13 kilometers, turn left onto Route 915 and continue for about 10 kilometers. Then turn right onto Cape Enrage Road and bike for another 6 kilometers until you reach your destination. Be prepared for hilly sections.

Cape Enrage Nature Preserve, perched on the dramatic Fundy coast of New Brunswick, offers a unique blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and adrenaline-pumping activities. The preserve is named for the turbulent waters that surge over a reef extending into Chignecto Bay. This creates a stunning spectacle, especially when the Bay of Fundy's powerful tides rise as high as 53 feet.The heart of Cape Enrage is its historic lighthouse, one of the oldest on New Brunswick's Fundy coastline. The first lighthouse was built in 1840, followed by another in 1870, and the current one in 1904. The existing square lighthouse is the oldest in the province. While the lighthouse has been automated since the 1980s, it still operates, guiding ships and sounding its foghorn.Beyond the lighthouse, visitors can explore a diverse landscape of marshland, coastal and woodland habitats. The area is an Important Bird Area (IBA), attracting birdwatchers with its congregatory species and shorebird concentrations. The cobblestone beach provides access to the Bay of Fundy, where you can discover fossils dating back 320 million years.For thrill-seekers, Cape Enrage offers ziplining and rappelling. Soar down a 600-foot zipline or rappel down the cliffs for a unique perspective of the coastline.Cape Enrage is more than just a scenic stop; it's a place where history, nature, and adventure converge.
