Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from anywhere in Montérégie, simply take the Autoroute 20 (A20) towards Montreal. Follow the signs for Ville-Marie and merge onto the Ville-Marie Expressway (Autoroute 720). Continue on Autoroute 720 until you reach the exit for Rue Berri. Take the exit, and then turn left onto Rue Berri. Continue straight until you reach Notre-Dame Street. Turn right onto Notre-Dame Street, and you'll find Lieu historique national de Sir-George-Étienne-Cartier at 458 Notre-Dame St. East. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking, which typically costs around CAD 3-4 per hour.

• Public Transportation (Metro)

  To reach the Lieu historique national de Sir-George-Étienne-Cartier using public transportation, take the Metro from any station within Montérégie to the Berri-UQAM station in Montreal. You can catch a train from the Yellow Line (Line 1) or the Green Line (Line 2). Once at Berri-UQAM station, take the exit towards Rue Sainte-Catherine. Walk towards Rue Berri and turn right. Continue walking until you reach Notre-Dame Street. Turn left onto Notre-Dame Street, and the site will be on your left at 458 Notre-Dame St. East. The Metro fare is approximately CAD 3.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, look for the routes operated by the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) that connect to Montreal. You can take the 88 or 29 bus routes from various locations in Montérégie to the Longueuil–Jean-Drapeau Metro station. From there, take the Metro to Berri-UQAM station as mentioned above. The bus fare is around CAD 3.50.
