From downtown Montreal, take the Green Line (Line 1) of the Metro at Bonaventure station towards Angrignon. Ride for 8 stops and get off at Monk station. Exit the station and head west on Rue de la Montagne. Turn left onto Rue Saint-Antoine and continue until you reach the intersection with Avenue Atwater. Take the bus 37 from the Atwater metro bus stop. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at Lakeshore Road. From there, you'll need to walk approximately 5 minutes to reach Lake Saint-Louis.

You can rent a BIXI bike from one of the many bike stations in downtown Montreal. Start by heading south on Boulevard René-Lévesque towards Rue de la Montagne. Then, turn right onto Rue de la Montagne and continue until you reach Rue Saint-Antoine. Take a left and follow the road until you reach Avenue Atwater. Continue until you reach Lakeshore Road, then follow signs to Lake Saint-Louis. The ride should take around 30-40 minutes.

If you are staying near the Lachine Canal, you can walk to Lake Saint-Louis. Start from the Canal and head southwest towards Rue Notre-Dame. Follow Rue Notre-Dame until you reach Avenue Saint-Louis. Turn right on Avenue Saint-Louis and continue walking straight until you hit Lakeshore Road. From there, you should see Lake Saint-Louis ahead of you. The walk will take about 1 hour.
