Walking
If you're in Mile End, start by heading southeast towards Avenue du Mont-Royal. Walk down this avenue until you reach the intersection with Rue Saint-Denis. Turn left onto Rue Saint-Denis and continue until you reach Rue Sherbrooke. Here, turn right. The Montreal Botanical Garden will be on your left at 4101 Sherbrooke St E. This walk will take approximately 30-35 minutes.

Bus
From Mile End, you can take the STM bus #51 towards 'Parc Jarry'. Board the bus at the nearest stop on Avenue du Mont-Royal, and ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Sherbrooke / Pie-IX'. From there, walk east on Sherbrooke Street for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Montreal Botanical Garden. The bus fare is $3.50 CAD.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a BIXI bike from one of the nearby stations in Mile End. Head southeast towards Avenue du Mont-Royal, then take Avenue du Mont-Royal to Rue Papineau. Continue south on Papineau, then turn left onto Sherbrooke Street. The Botanical Garden will be on your left. This route is approximately 20 minutes long, and the BIXI rental costs $5 for a day pass.
