If you are driving from anywhere in Ottawa Valley, take Highway 417 East towards Ottawa. Continue on Highway 417 for approximately 85 km until you reach the exit for the Queensway (Highway 416). Merge onto Highway 416 towards Ottawa. After about 20 km, take the exit toward Hunt Club Road. Continue on Hunt Club Road until it merges into Riverside Drive. Follow Riverside Drive until you reach the intersection with Observatory Crescent. Turn left onto Observatory Crescent, and the Dominion Observatory will be on your right at 1 Observatory Crescent, Ottawa, ON K1A 0C6. Be mindful of parking regulations in the area, as you may need to pay for parking at nearby lots.

To reach Dominion Observatory via public transportation, start by locating the nearest OC Transpo (Ottawa public transit) bus stop. You can take Bus Route 85 from various locations in Ottawa Valley towards the Billings Bridge. Disembark at the Billings Bridge stop and transfer to Bus Route 4 towards St. Laurent. Ride the bus until you reach the stop for the Experimental Farm. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to the observatory. Head north on Prince of Wales Drive, turn left onto Observatory Crescent, and continue until you arrive at the observatory. Be sure to check the OC Transpo schedule for the latest bus times and any applicable costs for fares, which are approximately CAD $3.75 for a single ride.
