Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to the White House located at 123 Stewart St, Ottawa, ON K1N, start on the main highway (Trans-Canada Highway 401 or Highway 416) leading into Ottawa. Follow the signs for downtown Ottawa and merge onto Highway 417. Take the exit for Nicholas St and continue straight until you reach Stewart St. Turn left on Stewart St and you'll find the White House on your left. Parking may be available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking, which can cost around $2-$5 per hour.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  To reach the White House via public transport, start by finding the nearest OC Transpo bus stop. You can take bus routes 1, 2, or 6 that serve the downtown area. Make sure to check the schedule for the next bus. Get off at 'Laurier at Rideau' stop, then walk east along Rideau St until you reach Stewart St. Turn left on Stewart St and walk about 5 minutes to arrive at 123 Stewart St, Ottawa. A single adult fare is approximately $3.75 CAD.

• Public Transportation - Light Rail

  If you're near a Light Rail Transit (LRT) station, take the Confederation Line to 'Rideau Station'. After disembarking, head northeast on Rideau St until you reach Stewart St. Turn left on Stewart St and walk approximately 5 minutes to reach the White House at 123 Stewart St. The LRT fare is also around $3.75 CAD for a single adult trip.

• Walking

  If you're already in the Sandy Hill area or close by, you can easily walk to the White House. Just find your way to Stewart St. It's a pleasant walk where you can enjoy the local scenery, and it should take no more than 15-20 minutes from the downtown area.
