Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the ByWard Market area, head southwest on George Street towards Elgin Street. Turn right onto Elgin Street and continue walking for approximately 10 minutes. You will see Confederation Park on your left, just past the National Arts Centre.

    From Parliament Hill, exit the grounds and walk down Wellington Street. Turn left onto Elgin Street and walk south. Confederation Park will be on your right after about a 5-minute walk.

    If you are at the Ottawa Convention Centre, exit onto Colonel By Drive. Head north towards the Rideau Canal, cross the canal at the pedestrian bridge, and continue straight onto Elgin Street. Walk about 10 minutes, and you will find Confederation Park on your left.

    Take the OC Transpo bus route 1 or 7 from any nearby bus stop. Disembark at the Elgin St. / Queen St. stop. From there, walk south on Elgin Street for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Confederation Park, which will be on your right.
