Public Transit - Bus
From downtown Ottawa, head to the nearest OC Transpo bus stop. You can take the bus number 85 or 86 towards the west. Make sure to check the schedules on the OC Transpo website or app for the latest timings. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Experimental Farm'. Once you get off, walk south towards the entrance of the Experimental Farm. You will see a path leading towards the Dominion Observatory; it’s about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you are located in the Civic Hospital area, head towards the south end of the Experimental Farm located at 1 Observatory Crescent. Walk along the paths through the farm area, following the signs for the Dominion Observatory. It is a short 15-minute walk from the Civic Hospital, and you can enjoy the beautiful park scenery along the way.

If you have access to a bike, you can cycle from downtown Ottawa. Start by heading west on the Rideau Canal pathway. Continue along the canal until you reach the intersection with Prince of Wales Drive. Turn onto Prince of Wales Drive and head north until you arrive at the Experimental Farm. Follow the biking paths that lead directly to the Dominion Observatory, which is located at the southern end of the Experimental Farm.
