Public Transit (Bus)
Start by locating the nearest OC Transpo bus stop. Use the OC Transpo trip planner online or the Transit app to find the best route to Mooney's Bay Park and Beach. The nearest major stop is the 'Billings Bridge' transit station. From there, catch either bus route 88 or 114. If you are coming from downtown Ottawa, take route 6 from the 'Rideau Centre' transit stop towards the 'Billings Bridge' and transfer to route 88 or 114. Once you board the bus, stay on until you reach the 'Riverside Drive / Mooney's Bay Park' stop. After disembarking, walk south along Riverside Drive for about 5 minutes to reach the park entrance.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, Ottawa has a vast network of bike paths. Start from downtown and head south towards the Rideau Canal pathway. Follow the path to the 'Rideau River' and continue south until you reach Riverside Drive. As you approach Riverside Drive, turn left and follow the road until you see signs for Mooney's Bay Park. The park is located at 2960 Riverside Dr., which is a short ride from the river path.
Walking
If you are within walking distance, head towards Riverside Drive. From downtown, walk south along Bank Street until you reach Riverside Drive. Turn left and continue walking east for about 30 minutes. You will pass local shops and residential areas. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Mooney's Bay Park as you approach the beach area. The park entrance will be on your right at 2960 Riverside Dr.
