Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from Parliament Hill, head east on Wellington Street towards the Rideau Canal. When you reach Elgin Street, turn right and walk south. Continue until you reach Sparks Street, then turn left. Walk east along Sparks Street until you reach 135 Sparks St. The Ottawa Sign will be located here.

• Walking

  From the ByWard Market, walk west on George Street until you reach Sussex Drive. Turn right and head north on Sussex Drive until you reach Wellington Street. Turn left onto Wellington Street, then take the first right onto Sparks Street. Continue walking until you reach 135 Sparks St. where the Ottawa Sign is located.

• Public Transit (OC Transpo)

  From the Rideau Centre, board the OC Transpo bus number 7, 9, or 12 at the Rideau Station. After approximately 5-10 minutes, get off at the 'Sparks St. at Elgin St.' stop. From there, walk west along Sparks Street for about 5 minutes until you reach 135 Sparks St. where the Ottawa Sign is located.

  If you are near the National Gallery of Canada, head south towards the canal. Cross the canal at the bridge and continue walking straight until you reach Wellington Street. Turn left on Wellington Street and walk until you reach Elgin Street. Turn right on Elgin and then a quick left on Sparks Street. Walk east for a couple of blocks until you reach 135 Sparks St. to see the Ottawa Sign.
