Getting There

• Public Transit - Bus

  From Ottawa's downtown area, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for routes that service the 'Elgin St' or 'Sparks St'. You can take bus number 1 or 7 towards 'Hurdman Station'. Ride until you reach the 'Laurier' stop. From there, transfer to bus number 16 towards 'St. Laurent'. Disembark at 'Cemetery Rd' stop. Walk south towards the 'Ottawa Memorial' which is located within the 'National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces'. Follow the signs leading to the Commonwealth Air Force Memorial.

• Walking

  If you are within walking distance from the downtown core, start at the 'Parliament Hill'. Walk south on Elgin Street until you reach 'Catherine Street'. Turn right onto Catherine Street and continue until you reach 'Metcalfe Street'. Turn left on Metcalfe Street and continue until you reach 'Wellington Street'. From here, head east until you reach the 'National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces'. The Commonwealth Air Force Memorial is situated within the cemetery grounds.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in downtown Ottawa. Start on the Rideau Canal path heading south. Continue along the canal until you reach the intersection with 'Catherine Street'. Turn left on Catherine Street and follow it to 'Metcalfe Street'. Take another left on Metcalfe Street and ride until you reach 'Wellington Street'. Then proceed east until you arrive at the 'National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces'. The Commonwealth Air Force Memorial is located within the cemetery.
