If you are starting from the ByWard Market area, head southwest on ByWard Market Square toward George St. Turn left onto George St and continue straight until you reach Sussex Dr. Turn right onto Sussex Dr and walk approximately 10 minutes until you reach Wellington St. The National War Memorial will be directly ahead at the intersection of Wellington St and Elgin St.

From the Rideau Centre, walk to the nearby Rideau bus terminal. Take bus number 1 (Canada/University) towards the west. After about 5 stops, get off at the Elgin St. and Wellington St. stop. From there, walk a short distance south; The National War Memorial will be on your left at the intersection.

If you are near the Parliament Station on the Light Rail, board the LRT (Line 1) towards Blair. Alight at the next stop, which is Rideau Station. From there, head west along Rideau St until you reach Elgin St. Turn left on Elgin St and walk south until you reach Wellington St. The National War Memorial will be located at that intersection.
