If you are starting from downtown Ottawa, head southeast towards the Rideau Canal. Walk along Queen Street towards the canal, passing by the Fairmont Château Laurier. Once you reach the canal, turn left and follow the pathway along the canal's edge. Continue walking south until you reach the intersection at Colonel By Drive. Cross the road and continue along the pathway, which will lead you to the Corktown Footbridge.

From downtown Ottawa, head to the nearest bus stop and take the bus route 1 or 7 heading towards the Rideau Centre. Get off at the 'Catherine Street' stop.
