From any location within Prince Edward Island National Park, head towards Route 1 (Trans-Canada Highway). If you are in the eastern part of the park, take the exit towards Route 1 West. Continue driving on Route 1 for approximately 30-40 minutes, following the signs for Borden-Carleton. You will pass the scenic coastal views and small communities along the way. As you approach Borden-Carleton, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Confederation Bridge. The bridge entrance will be clearly marked, and you will need to pay a toll when leaving PEI, which is approximately $50 for a car. There are also rest areas and viewpoints along the way if you wish to take a break.

If you are using public transportation, take the bus service that operates from Charlottetown to Borden-Carleton. The bus departs from the Charlottetown bus terminal and travels directly to Borden-Carleton. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Borden-Carleton, you can either walk to Confederation Bridge, which is about a 20-minute walk, or arrange for a local taxi service to take you to the bridge entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for the most accurate departure times. The cost for the bus ticket is approximately $15.
