Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, from the Visitor Centre of Prince Edward Island National Park, head northwest on Route 6 (Cavendish Road). Continue for approximately 20 kilometers (about 12 miles). You'll pass through the beautiful scenery of the park. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Cavendish. Once you reach Cavendish, look for Sandspit Cavendish Beach on your right at 8986 Cavendish Rd. There is parking available on-site, but there may be a parking fee during peak season.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, check the local bus schedule for rides that operate to Cavendish from Charlottetown. The bus will drop you off at a designated stop in Cavendish. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Sandspit Cavendish Beach. Head west on Cavendish Road until you reach the beach location at 8986 Cavendish Rd. Please note that bus services may not run frequently, so plan your trip accordingly.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from nearby rental shops in Cavendish. Starting from the Visitor Centre, bike along the scenic routes through the park towards Cavendish. The distance is approximately 20 kilometers (about 12 miles) and should take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your speed. Be cautious of traffic once you reach Cavendish, and use bike lanes where available. Once you arrive at 8986 Cavendish Rd, you'll find Sandspit Cavendish Beach.
