If you are starting from Château Frontenac, exit the hotel and head towards Rue d'Auteuil. Turn left onto Rue d'Auteuil and walk straight until you reach Rue Sainte-Anne. Take a right on Rue Sainte-Anne and continue until you reach Place d'Armes. From there, head towards Rue Saint-Jean. You will see the St. Jean Gate just ahead as you approach the intersection.

From the Old Port area, head north towards Rue Saint-Paul and follow it until you reach Rue Pierre-Olivier-Chauveau. Turn left on Rue Pierre-Olivier-Chauveau and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue Saint-Jean. St. Jean Gate will be on your left at the end of this street.

If you are at the Citadel, exit the Citadel and walk down to Avenue Wilfrid-Laurier. Take a right and continue straight until you reach Rue Saint-Jean. Turn left on Rue Saint-Jean, and you will find the St. Jean Gate a short distance ahead.

From the Museum of Civilization, head towards Rue des Carrières and walk up the hill. Continue onto Rue Saint-Jean and follow it until you reach the St. Jean Gate.

Take the RTC bus #11 or #800 from any downtown stop heading towards 'Les Rivières'. Get off at the stop 'Rue Saint-Jean'. From there, walk a short distance along Rue Saint-Jean to reach the St. Jean Gate.
