Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. Head southeast on Rue des Ruisseaux toward Rue de l'Église. Merge onto Route 170 E and continue for approximately 30 kilometers (about 25 minutes). As you approach L'Anse-Saint-Jean, take the exit toward Chem. Saint-Thomas N. Follow Chem. Saint-Thomas N for about 5 kilometers until you reach the Covered Bridge du Faubourg. There is parking available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from the Saguenay bus terminal to L'Anse-Saint-Jean. Check the current schedules as they may vary. The bus ride typically takes around 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the L'Anse-Saint-Jean bus stop, you can either walk (about 1 kilometer) or take a taxi to Covered Bridge du Faubourg. If walking, head south on Rue de l'Église, then turn left onto Chem. Saint-Thomas N and follow it until you reach the bridge.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. Use Route 170 E for your ride, which has designated bike lanes. The distance is around 30 kilometers, and it may take about 1.5 hours depending on your cycling pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules. Once you reach L'Anse-Saint-Jean, follow Chem. Saint-Thomas N directly to the Covered Bridge.
