To reach Fort William Historical Park from anywhere on Vancouver Island, you will first need to take a ferry from Vancouver Island to the mainland. The most common ferry route is from Swartz Bay (near Victoria) to Tsawwassen. The ferry ride takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Tsawwassen, take Highway 17 northbound towards Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway). Merge onto Highway 1 and continue heading east, following signs for Kamloops. After approximately 2.5 hours, take the exit for Highway 61 towards Thunder Bay. Follow Highway 61 for about 15 minutes until you reach Fort William Historical Park located at 1350 King Rd, Thunder Bay, ON P7K 1L7. Note that ferry costs vary, so check BC Ferries for current rates.
