Getting There

  • Walking

    From the heart of Osborne Village, head east on Stradbrook Avenue towards River Avenue. When you reach River Avenue, turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Pembina Highway (Route 42). Cross Pembina Highway at the pedestrian crosswalk. Continue walking straight along the Assiniboine River pathway. Follow the riverbank path, and you will eventually arrive at The Forks National Historic Site, which is located at Forks Market Rd, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4S8. This walk will take approximately 30 minutes.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    From Osborne Village, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the corner of Osborne Street and River Avenue. Board Bus 24 or 25, which will take you towards Downtown Winnipeg. After about a 10-minute ride, get off at the stop at Main Street at The Forks. Walk towards Forks Market Rd, and you will find The Forks National Historic Site. Make sure to check Winnipeg Transit schedules for any updates and to have exact change or a transit pass ready, as a single ride costs approximately CAD 3.00.
