Car
If you are driving from Cochrane, head southwest on Route 7 (Carretera Austral) for approximately 20 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Rio Chacabuco.' You will turn off onto a smaller road towards the river. The drive offers scenic views of the Andes mountains and lush landscapes. Please note that some sections of the road may be unpaved, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Public Transportation
From Cochrane, you can take a local bus service that operates along Route 7 towards Puerto Río Tranquilo. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Rio Chacabuco.
