Car
If you're driving, head towards Lota in the Biobío Region. From Concepción, take Route 160 towards Lota. Once you reach Lota, follow signs for 'Cam. Al Fuerte'. The fort's entrance will be located along this road, approximately 5 km from the town center. There is no entry fee to visit Fuerte de Colcura, but make sure to check local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Fuerte de Colcura using public transport, take a bus from Concepción to Lota. Buses run regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive in Lota, you can either take a taxi or walk approximately 5 km to 'Cam. Al Fuerte'. If you prefer walking, follow the main road until you see signs for Fuerte de Colcura. The bus fare will typically cost around 2,000 CLP (Chilean Pesos).
Walking
If you're already in Lota, you can walk to Fuerte de Colcura. Start from the town center and head southeast on Avenida Colón, then take a left onto Cam. Al Fuerte. The walk is about 5 km and should take around 1 hour, providing you with scenic views along the way.
