Public Transport
To reach Camping Paine Grande from Puerto Natales: 1. Take a Bus-Sur bus from Puerto Natales to Pudeto. Buses depart from Terminal Rodoviario. The journey takes approximately 3 hours. A one way ticket costs approximately $12.50 USD. 2. From Pudeto, take the catamaran across Lake Pehoé to Paine Grande. The ferry ride is 30-40 minutes. A one-way ticket costs approximately $30 USD. It is recommended to book tickets in advance. Once at Paine Grande, the camping area is within walking distance.
Walking
If arriving from Refugio Grey or other nearby campsites, follow the well-marked trails towards Paine Grande. The trails are part of the W and O circuits and are clearly signposted. Note: Distances vary depending on the starting point. The walk from Refugio Grey to Paine Grande takes approximately 4 hours. Be prepared for varied terrain and weather conditions.
