Getting There

  • Bus

    From Concepción, head to the main bus terminal, Terminal de Buses Collao. Purchase a ticket to Lota. Buses run approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Lota bus terminal, exit the terminal and look for the local bus or colectivo (shared taxi) heading towards Playa Blanca. The bus should be marked with 'Playa Blanca' or 'Lota'. The local bus will take you directly to Playa Blanca, which is about a 15-minute ride from the Lota terminal.

  • Colectivo

    After arriving at the Lota bus terminal from Concepción, you can also take a colectivo to Playa Blanca. Colectivos are shared taxis that can be found near the terminal. Tell the driver your destination, Playa Blanca, and they will take you there directly. This option may be quicker, depending on how many passengers are in the colectivo.

  • Walking

    If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk from the Lota bus terminal to Playa Blanca, exit the terminal and head towards Avenida Colón. Follow this avenue until you reach San Pedro Street.
