Acevedo Square: Concepción's Jurassic Oasis

Acevedo Square, nestled in the heart of Concepción, Chile, is more than just a park; it's a journey through time. Officially named in honor of Luis Acevedo Acevedo, a pioneer of Chilean aviation who tragically died in a plane crash in 1913, the square is affectionately known as 'Plaza Jurásica' or 'Plaza de los Dinosaurios'.In 2008, the square was transformed into a Jurassic-themed park, featuring realistic, life-size dinosaur sculptures created by Chilean sculptor Jorge Barba López.
