Car
If you are driving from the city of Ovalle, head east on Avenida La Paz towards Calle O'Higgins. Continue straight onto Ruta 5 (Pan-American Highway) and follow signs for La Serena. After about 15 km, take the exit towards Ruta D-41/Cerro Blanco. Turn left onto D-41 and continue for approximately 20 km. You will see signs for Valle del Encanto. Follow the signs and the road will lead you directly to the entrance.
Public Transportation
From Ovalle, you can take a bus to Valle del Encanto. Go to the Ovalle bus terminal and look for a bus heading towards La Serena or Monte Patria. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to Valle del Encanto. It's advisable to inform the driver beforehand. Once you arrive at the designated stop, you may need to walk approximately 2 km to reach the entrance. Be prepared for a short hike as the area is somewhat remote.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or rideshare service from Ovalle. Simply request a ride to Valle del Encanto, located at the coordinates (-30.7037754, -71.3742018). The trip should take about 30 minutes. The cost may vary but expect to pay around CLP 15,000 to CLP 25,000 depending on traffic and time of day.
