La Recova: The Heart of La Serena's Market Scene

Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you're starting from the central area of Coquimbo, head to the nearest bus stop where you can catch a bus heading to La Serena. Look for buses with signs that say 'La Serena'. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in La Serena, get off at the stop closest to Avenida del Mar. From here, walk towards the city center along Avenida del Mar. When you reach the intersection with Cienfuegos Street, turn right. Continue walking straight, and you will find La Recova at Cienfuegos 563 on your left.

• Walking

  If you are already in the city center of La Serena, you can simply walk to La Recova. Start at Plaza de Armas, which is the main square. Head south on Calle Balmaceda, and take a left onto Avenida del Mar. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Cienfuegos Street. Turn left onto Cienfuegos Street and walk straight for about 5 blocks. La Recova will be on your left at Cienfuegos 563.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'La Recova, Cienfuegos 563, La Serena'. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes from central Coquimbo, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before getting in if it's a taxi.
