If you are driving, start by heading south on Route 5, the Pan-American Highway. From Valdivia, take Route 5 south until you reach the junction for Route 203 towards Puerto Octay. Continue on Route 203 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Puerto Octay. Once in Puerto Octay, follow the signs to the Río Blanco area where Salto Waterfalls is located. The GPS coordinates for the waterfalls are approximately -41.0728468 latitude and -72.60866 longitude.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Valdivia to Puerto Octay. Buses frequently depart from the main terminal in Valdivia. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Puerto Octay, you can either take a taxi or arrange for a local transportation service to take you to the Río Blanco las Cascadas area. Make sure to confirm with the driver that you want to go to Salto Waterfalls. The cost of the bus ticket is approximately CLP 5,000-10,000.
