    To reach Mount Darwin by car, start your journey from the city of Punta Arenas, which is the main hub in the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica Region. Drive on Route 9 towards the north for approximately 20 km until you reach the junction with Route 255. Turn left onto Route 255 and continue for about 80 km. This road will take you through the scenic area of Río Verde. Keep an eye out for the signs leading to Timaukel, as you will need to take a right turn onto the road to Timaukel. Continue on this road for around 40 km until you reach the village of Timaukel. From Timaukel, you can follow local trails or GPS navigation to access the base of Mount Darwin. Note that some parts of the route may require a high-clearance vehicle due to rough terrain.
