If you are starting in Chillán, take Route 5 Sur towards Concepción. After approximately 90 km, take the exit towards Tomé. Follow the signs for Tomé and then merge onto O-252. Continue on O-252 for about 15 km until you reach Playa Coliumo, located at O-252 2109, Tomé, Bío Bío. The drive should take around 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
From Chillán, head to the Chillán Bus Terminal and take a bus to Tomé. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Tomé, you can take a taxi or local bus to Playa Coliumo. The taxi ride will cost approximately 5,000 to 8,000 CLP and take about 20 minutes.
