From Concepción, take a bus from Terminal de Buses Collao to Chillán, a 1.5-hour ride. Transfer to a local bus heading towards Pinto, checking the schedule for frequency. From Pinto, it's approximately 15 km to Gruta Los Pangues by taxi or foot. Alternatively, arrange a taxi directly from Chillán to Gruta Los Pangues. Bus fares from Concepción to Chillán typically range from CLP 3,000 to CLP 6,000. The local bus from Chillán to Pinto should cost around CLP 1,500 to CLP 3,000. A taxi from Pinto to the Gruta could cost CLP 5,000 to CLP 10,000.

From Concepción, drive east on Route 5 Sur (Pan-American Highway) towards Chillán for about 90 km until the exit for Pinto. Follow signs to Pinto, and then look for signs to Gruta Los Pangues, located approximately 15 km from Pinto. From Las Trancas, head east towards Nevados de Chillán; the entrance is on the second curve after leaving Las Trancas, but it is not well-marked. Be attentive to the road. Parking is available near the entrance. Note that the entrance is a bit hidden. There are no tolls on this route. Parking is free.
