Discover more about Estancia Peuma Hue

Estancia Peuma Hue, meaning "place of dreams" in the Mapuche language, is a mountain hotel and eco-lodge located within Argentina's first and largest national park, the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Situated on the southern end of Lake Gutierrez, just 25 minutes from Bariloche, the estancia offers 500 acres of wilderness to explore. Originally a damaged valley due to illegal lumbering, the estancia has been lovingly restored with native vegetation, fostering a landscape rich in coihue, lenga, and ñire trees. This rehabilitation has created a haven for native species, including the Andean condor and black-faced ibis. Peuma Hue offers a variety of activities to connect with nature. Guests can explore the alpine scenery on horseback or hike along winding trails past creeks and waterfalls. Kayaking on the tranquil waters of Lake Gutierrez, birdwatching in the forests, and wellness activities like yoga and mindful walks are also popular. In winter, the nearby slopes of Cerro Catedral offer skiing opportunities. The estancia features a main lodge and independent log structures with private rooms and communal lounge areas. With a capacity for a small number of guests, Peuma Hue offers a personalized experience and inviting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy home-cooked meals with produce sourced from the estancia's organic garden. The estancia also has a non-denominational temple that hosts concerts, meditations, and celebrations. The estancia is committed to environmental practices, including recycling, water conservation, and renewable energy sources.
