If driving from Neuquén city, take Route 22 west towards Zapala. Upon reaching Zapala, continue on Route 40 southbound. After approximately 120 km, exit onto Route 23 and follow it for about 30 km until you see signs for Río Chachín. The river is located just off the main road. Be aware that the road beyond the Hua Hum bridge turns to gravel. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads. Parking is available near the trailhead. There are no tolls on this route. Parking is free.
