Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of San Pedro de Atacama, head south on Caracoles Street towards the intersection with Domingo Atienza Street. Continue straight until you reach the Plaza de San Pedro. At the Plaza, turn left onto Gustavo Le Paige Street. Follow this street until it intersects with the road leading to the Catarpe Valley. You will see signs for Catarpe. Continue walking along this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Catarpe. The walk should take approximately 40-50 minutes.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in San Pedro de Atacama. Start from the main square and head south on Caracoles Street towards Domingo Atienza Street. Turn left onto Gustavo Le Paige Street and continue until you reach the road leading to the Catarpe Valley. Follow the signs and ride along this road for about 3 kilometers. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Tour Shuttle

  Check with local tour operators in San Pedro de Atacama for shuttle services to Catarpe. Most operators will have set times for departures. Once you confirm your booking, you can wait at your accommodation or a designated pick-up point in the town. The shuttle will take you directly to Catarpe, which is about 3 kilometers from the town center. The ride typically takes about 10-15 minutes.
