Getting There

Walking
From the center of San Pedro de Atacama, head west on Calle Toconao towards Calle Caracoles. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle del Desierto. Turn left onto Calle del Desierto and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. As you walk, you'll see beautiful landscapes and some local shops. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Mars Valley. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will start to see the entrance to Mars Valley on your right.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in San Pedro de Atacama. Start from the town center and ride west on Calle Toconao. Continue straight and turn left onto Calle del Desierto. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. The bike ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Look for the signs leading to Mars Valley on your right. This route is relatively flat and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.
