Turn left onto Carrera Pinto and walk one block until you reach the junction with Calle Licancabur. Turn right on Licancabur. Follow this street as it turns into a dirt road; it will lead you out of the town. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers, and you will see Pukará de Quitor on your left side. There are signs that will guide you to the entrance.

    You can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in San Pedro de Atacama. Once you have your bike, head east on Calle Caracoles, then turn left onto Calle Ignacio Carrera Pinto. Continue until you reach Calle Licancabur and turn right. Follow the dirt road for about 2 kilometers, and you will find Pukará de Quitor on your left. The ride is relatively flat, but be prepared for some loose gravel.
