Car
From Valle de la Luna, head south on Route 23. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 27. Turn right onto Route 27 and drive for another 8 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Valle del Arcoiris' as you approach Quebrada Chuschul. The parking area is located near the entrance, where you may need to pay an entrance fee of approximately 3,000 CLP per person.
Public Transportation
From Valle de la Luna, take a taxi or shared van (known as 'collectivo') to San Pedro de Atacama. There are several operators that provide this service, and the fare is usually around 2,000 CLP per person. Once in San Pedro, look for a transport company that offers tours to Valle del Arcoiris. Book a tour that includes transportation, which typically costs around 15,000 to 25,000 CLP depending on the service provider. Tours usually include a guide and will take you directly to the site.
Walking/Hiking
If you're adventurous and fit, you can hike from Valle de la Luna to Valle del Arcoiris. The hike is approximately 12 kilometers and takes about 3-4 hours one way. Start by heading south towards the main road (Route 23) and then follow the path to the east towards Quebrada Chuschul. Make sure to carry plenty of water and snacks, and allow for sufficient time to return before dark.
