Getting There

Walking

From the center of San Pedro de Atacama, head west on Calle Caracoles towards the main square (Plaza de Armas). Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Avenida 3 Norte. Turn right onto Avenida 3 Norte and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. At the end of Avenida 3 Norte, you will see the entrance to the Valley of the Moon, which is well-marked.
Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in San Pedro de Atacama. Start from the main square (Plaza de Armas) and head west on Calle Caracoles. After about 800 meters, turn right onto Avenida 3 Norte. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance of the Valley of the Moon. The ride takes around 15-20 minutes.
Tour Operator

Book a guided tour to the Valley of the Moon through one of the local tour operators. Many of these tours offer pick-up from your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama.
