Walking
From the center of San Pedro de Atacama, walk towards the main street, Caracoles. Head east on Caracoles until you reach the intersection with the road heading towards the Valle de la Luna. Turn left onto this road and continue walking for about 5 km. You will see signs guiding you to Valle de la Luna along the way. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so be prepared with water and sun protection.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in San Pedro de Atacama. Start from the central plaza and head east on Caracoles. After about 1 km, turn left onto the road leading to Valle de la Luna. The total distance is around 10 km, and it should take about 30 to 45 minutes to cycle there. Be cautious of the road conditions and keep hydrated.
